My art is about expressing the beauty I see in the world. It is a gift to see deeply and then translate that into the incredible colors I use in my paintings.
Originally from the Flint Hills in Kansas, I grew up watching the sun illuminate the landscape and seeing the changes as the days rolled into nights. I am still in love with color and the brilliance of light around us.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emporia State University, then moved to Kansas City to work for Hallmark Cards as an artist. I transitioned to doing freelance work and teaching. My award-winning work is in acrylic and includes landscapes, horses, people, forests, and animals.
Doing art quiets the mind and inspires the Soul. It also keeps you growing and learning.
